Over the last week, we have had a couple heard downpours. Deep channels are being cut into the gravel road. (see photo). This condition is usually worst on steep hills (where one wound think it - fast running water). The big problem comes when meeting traffic. The other day, topping a hill and meeting an oncoming vehicle, the right side wheel cropped into the rut. The rut grabbed the tire - and I fought to maintain control.
When I moved here 28 years ago, I thought the gravel roads around here might be paved by now. Looks like no chance.
