Saturday was a busy day for the local mountain bike community. There was a race over in SouthCentral Iowa. Early in the afternoon, THOR (Trails Have Our Repect) hosted its annual Bring Your Own Kid Mountain Biking. Im the evening, In the evening, there was the Pyscowpath Mounttain Bike Racing Series banquet and awards party (AKA - Bike Bash).
Bike Bash was held at Papillion Fun Park. Party turnout was lower than previous years. I think the chilly weather (the function was held in a tent, with one fire in the center and one end open. Add in the Mullet Classic race which many Pyscopwath racers attend. It still was a good party. Thanks R&R for your work promoting the race series.

Bike Bash 2013
Last night, the Psycowpath Mountain Bike racing series held its awards banquet, The event was at Plate River State Park near Louisville, NE.
The banquet was proceeded with a bicycle rode on the trails of the park.
The kitchen volunteers cooked a spaghetti feed with 3 kinds of sauce, Refreshments included soda and a pony of Fat Tire. Food topped off with Mrs. Abbott's brownies, ice cream, and home made cookies brought by a race-group elf.
Two cups of Fat Tire, 2 helping of pasta, and desert, was too much. That is, I ate too much!
Attendance was smaller than previous years. Many were on the other side of Iowa racing in Jingle Cross Rock race.
The photo with this post shows the trophy winners that attended the bash, Major sponsor the race series is the Nebraska Lottery.

Bike Bash 2012
Last night was the Psycowpath Mountain Bike Racing Series awards banquet, also know as "Bike Bash". The party was held at Platte River State Park. Many rode the trails before the banquet.
Thanks to the cooks and promoters for putting on the feed. Thanks to the race sponsors (a couple which were in attendance (and racers).
Turn-out was a little smaller than previous years. Of course, we had races out of the area at other races this weekend in Bend, OR, Cable, WI, and Iowa City, IA. Some of the podiums were missing winners. A couple were empty.
MCs for the evening were Roxy & Ryan. Psycow-Spirit award(s) went to "Em" Kenoyer and Dave Packard. Karl "Crash" put together the video presentation highlighting the season.
All-in-all. it was a fun evening. Photos I took during the bash are posted on my race and events photo web site: http://win-photo.photoreflect.com
